Mac OS X Automation 201: Intermediate Scripting, Automator & Xcode (Auto 201)

Designed to extend existing knowledge of automation; this course focuses on more advanced scripting and Xcode techniques such as intermediate Perl and AppleScript Studio. (2 days)
Students should have the following prerequisite knowledge prior to attending the course: 
- Automation 101: Beginning Scripting, Automator & Xcode
 
Mac OS X Automation (Auto 201) is designed to extend your knowledge of automation; focusing on more advanced scripting and Xcode techniques such as intermediate Perl and AppleScript Studio. 
 
Students will receive an introduction to Javascript, which is used not only for Web page automation, but also for Adobe CS automation as its primary scripting language. Students will also learn how to create their own Automator actions (using AppleScript) to improve Automator workflows, and create their own OS X Desktop Widgets (using JavaScript).
 
As with Auto 101, the emphasis of Auto 201 is on real-life automation problems, so bring a list of problems you want to solve!
